1. Be the V&A’s New Senior Graphic Designer

Join the V&A’s renowned Design Department as it reaches massive expansions with its physical and digital presence in exhibitions and events. If you’re confident in creativity and concept, this position is the one for you. Closes Saturday, December 31.

2. Commercial Mentoring, Prize, and Exhibition

Nonprofit Visual Art Open wants to reveal and promote up-and-coming artists and help them establish a profile in the contemporary art world. Are you in? Submit your work (drawing, printing, painting, digital art, sculpture) for a shot at £1000, a commercial mentoring package, an exclusive solo show, and an exhibition at the 2017 Chester Arts Fair. 3. 2017 Open Exhibition: Change

Change is inevitable, and Second Look knows it. This volunteer-based organisation raises photography as a public art form and provides a platform for upcoming photographers to develop and promote their craft. Share your work with their amazing community and exhibit your work in the 2017 Festival of Photography! Closes Saturday, December 31.

4. Open Call for Artists, Writers, and Performers

By Other Means is seeking works for their 2017 lineup that can be exhibited in non-traditional ways. Whether you paint on canvas, build instruments, design clothes, write stories or take the stage, this is the opportunity for you! Submit your work and join this one-of-a-kind gallery space as it seeks new ground in the creative world. Closes Sunday, January 1.

5. International Screenwriting Competition

This is no ordinary competition. This NYC-based production group launched the top-level International Screenwriting Competition to award the world’s best writers with proper prize money for their best ideas. Genres include Feature, Short, and Documentary. Submit a 2-5 page plot – theme is up to you! Prizes range from $1000—$6000. Closes Thursday, January 5.

6. Postcard Competition with Surface Gallery

Sell your work among a vibrant and diverse exhibition in the International Postcard Show featuring hundreds of original creations by artists around the world! Submit up to five entries – first and second places (and a special public vote) will be selected. Closes Friday, January 6.

7. Infiltrate the Royal Institute of Watercolours

The Royal Institute of Watercolours will display members’ and non-members’ work in the 2017 Mall Galleries. Submit up to six works for a variety of prizes (ranging from art supplies and cash awards up to £1,000). Closes Friday, January 6.

8. [email protected]: Public Art Award

Calling all sculptors! The 2017 theme is “The Poetics of Structure.” Interpret as you choose and create a large-scale site-specific sculpture or installation. Enjoy a £10,000 budget and six-month mentorship with experienced professional (creative engineers, consultants, and artists). Closes Friday, January 6.

9. BLOOD – Not for the Faint of Heart

Join the Science Gallery’s first cross-network season through a programme of events, activities, workshops and performance around London and Melbourne. Accepting proposals with budgets between £2-5k that address the symbolic nature of blood, including taboo, stigma, giving, identity, health, and sport. Closes Sunday, January 8.
