Meet other creatives in a friendly, social atmosphere as we host an evening of conversation, networking and drinks! Tickets are now SOLD OUT for this event.

When: 18:30 – 21:00, Wednesday, 8th November 2017

Where: Cass Art, 66-67 Colebrooke Row, London, N1 8AB

We’re thrilled to welcome Philippine Nguyen (Co-founder, Art Night London) and Rebecca Edwards (Curator, arebyte Gallery) as our guest panellists. We’ll explore innovative methods of going ‘against the grain’ in exhibiting art and look at how we can make art more accessible.

We caught up with them for a quick chat before the meetup. Read it here!

Philippine Nguyen is the co-founder of Art Night, a free contemporary arts festival that puts art into extraordinary locations around London for one night every year, encouraging the public to experience art and their city through fresh eyes. She also looks after Development and Coordination for Unlimited Productions, focusing on fundraising, management and strategy, and has significant experience as a Public Affairs and Communications consultant. Philippine has worked for the French National Assembly and Canal+. Her love of cinema led her to create a film festival for young directors, chaired by the President of Cannes Film Festival in 2011.

Rebecca Edwards is curator of arebyte Gallery, a contemporary space dedicated to New Media and Performance Art. Located in London City Island near Canning Town, the gallery was recently relocated from Hackney Wick. arebyte’s focus for 2018 will be on the theme of Islands, looking at the idea of dislocation and association of space from both physical and theoretical aspects. Rebecca studied MA Curating with Whitechapel Gallery/The CASS in 2014 and won the NEON Curatorial Award in December 2015. She started as gallery assistant at arebyte in early 2016.

We actively encourage our attendees to interact with each other so it’s a great way to meet fellow creatives from a variety of disciplines. Our events have sparked a few creative collaborations in the past!

Some free drinks will be available and we have a £50 Cass Art voucher to give away on the night too! Terms & Conditions: Just make sure you have a Zealous portfolio to be in with a chance to win. Click the purple ‘Join’ button in the top right corner to get started (it’s free).
