London Bridge Hotel Open 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The London Bridge OPEN project supports local makers, showcasing works in a variety of mediums ranging from painting to installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLondon Bridge is an urban metropolis where nature is making a comeback \u2013 parks, corners and streets are once more becoming vibrant pockets of colour and habitats for ecology to thrive.\u201d The re-emergence of nature within the city has inspired this year\u2019s theme: URBAN NATURE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artists exhibiting are: Anna Walsh, Henrietta MacPhee, Gail Seres-Woolfson, Liz Charsley, Lottie Stoddart, Lynn Dennison, Jane Higginbottom, Rod Kitson, Lucy Cooper, Dick Graham, Edori Fertig, Greg Becker, Joanna McCormick, Natalja Sigalova, Stella Yarrow and Lynette Hemmant<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awash 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Society of East Anglian Watercolourists celebrate original artwork in water-based media. The event runs for almost a month and will include painting days, workshops and demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several members of the Society will be running one day workshops at the gallery. Experiment with a combination of techniques, materials and mark making. Try your hand at beginners sketching or delve into painting atmospheric landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lindsey Mendick: Regrets, I\u2019ve Had a Few <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lindsey Mendick\u2019s (b 1987, London) solo exhibition has launched in SPACE\u2019s new gallery in Ilford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mendick creates installations centred on her skilled work in ceramics and includes banner painting, sewing, metalwork, furniture making and sound. Her autobiographical works draw on the horrors of adolescence, steeped with confessions that are both vulnerable and resilient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the commission at SPACE, Mendick is working with a group of Ilford-based +65s to explore nostalgia and folklore through ceramics. Together they will build clay effigies in the shape of the advice they would have given their younger selves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SELF by Artists Pool <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s one thing to present your art honestly to the world, it\u2019s quite another to turn that gaze on yourself. In this show, all filters are removed as each artist presents an artwork that gives the viewer a glimpse of their authentic self.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collect <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collect is the only gallery-presented art fair dedicated to modern craft and design. This year it is moving to its new home at Somerset House, presenting a new environment for Collect exhibitors to contextualise and curate modern craft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collect provides an opportunity to discover and invest in exceptional work produced in the last five years by living artists, much of which is made especially for the Fair. Galleries from across the globe will each curate their own displays, demonstrating a breadth of exceptional work from ceramics, glass, metal, wood and textiles to makers working in non-traditional materials with experimental techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
