Artangel: SLOW DANS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each lures us into a world that is familiar yet alien, a parallel fiction in which we are plunged into an unfolding history, revealed to us through a chorus of unidentified voices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2012 Turner Prize winner, Elizabeth Price, lives and works in London. Her arresting works are a combination of visual and oral elements. Successions of imagery are layered with pop songs and percussion soundtracks to create captivating films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SLOW DANS features a trilogy of works by Price. One of these works includes KOHL, a vast and unseen underground liquid network that hosts mysterious apparitions called \u201cvisitants\u201d. It is made up of upside-down images that have been taken from the archive of Albert Walker, a former miner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOW Gallery: Slices of Time, Emmanuelle Moureaux<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Slices of Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its on-going Design Commission, NOW Gallery selected French architect, Emmanuelle Moureaux, to present a large-scale installation in the UK for the first time. Inspired by the gallery\u2019s location on the Greenwich Peninsula, the vibrant installation is made up of layers of numbers in 100 shades of colours and white, reflecting the flow of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jemima Burrill: \u201cThe measured detail, and calm considered order of Moureaux\u2019s work seemed the perfect respite from the political bedlam we are experiencing. This exhibition will include everyone, giving them the opportunity to have a moment to enjoy colour and form in all its simplicity and complexity.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
