Recently, we launched&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/zealous.co\/zealous\/opportunity\/Zealous-Amplify-Future\/\" title=\"\">Zealous Amplify: Future (The State Of Tomorrow)<\/a>, an open call inviting creatives worldwide to envision what a hopeful future might look like. With around&nbsp;500 entries from artists, writers, filmmakers, and makers of all creative disciplines, clear themes emerged about where the future is headed in and why it matters more than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From artists reimagining our relationship with nature to those pioneering new collaborative partnerships with technology, from marginalized voices leading conversations about possible futures to educators using creativity as a tool for transformative knowledge &#8211; our creative community is already actively building the world they want to see.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\"><strong>Reconnecting with Nature as Creative and Social Imperative<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" style=\"margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55830 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/zealous.co\/wpadmin2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/06\/a_possible__and_desired__future_jpg.jpeg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">&#8216;A possible (and desired) future&#8217; by Amanda Jane Bradbury<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\">The path to a hopeful future runs through reconnection with the natural world. As Illustrator <a href=\"https:\/\/zealous.co\/catherinepaiano\/portfolio\/?role=Designer\" title=\"\">Catherine Paiano<\/a> observes, we need to &#8220;understand that there does not need to be such a heavy reliance on technology, and therefore take more opportunities to step away from it and reconnect with nature.&#8221; This isn&#8217;t just about personal wellbeing &#8211; it&#8217;s about survival. Eco-artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stewarttaylorprints\/?utm_source=zealous&amp;utm_medium=blog&amp;utm_campaign=what_does_the_future_look_like_CV\" title=\"\">Stewart Taylor<\/a> puts it starkly: &#8220;the way we collectively have a disconnect with our environment and the way we treat the beings within it and a direct reflection upon the way we treat each other, are one of the same really and utterly intertwined&#8230; Speaking to over 400 changemakers as part of the Fair Education Alliance Youth Steering Group, she doesn&#8217;t just critique the education system that failed her &#8211; she actively rebuilds it. &#8220;We are deeply affected by policies we have no say in, yet we continue to push forward holding onto hope even when the system tries to bury it,&#8221; she explains.
