Immersive Arts is a funding and support programme for UK-based artists designed to help them develop their art using immersive technologies. Artists at all levels of experience are invited to apply through three funding strands: Explore (up to £5,000) for artists with little or no experience in immersive arts; Experiment (up to £20,000) for artists ready to test their work with audiences; and Expand (up to £50,000) for artists with immersive projects in development. You don’t have to be tech-savvy to apply – all you need is a curious mind and a creative practice. The programme has £3.6 million funding available between 2024 and 2027 to support over 200 UK-based artists. Applications can be submitted by audio, video or text, in English, Welsh, or British Sign Language.
