This fully funded 2-week intensive residency is for UK-based emerging or early career artists who have not had access to similar opportunities and haven’t been part of New Contemporaries exhibition programme before..
Taking place at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath, Scotland (5th-19th June 2026), the residency provides accommodation and full board (meals on weekdays), a £1,000 bursary for research and travel, and an additional access and care-givers bursary if applicable. Artists receive workspace including 24-hour access artist studios, time to develop projects or ideas, and opportunities for collaborative learning, reflection, and practice exchange across disciplines with interdisciplinary peers.
