Interactive & Gaming Weekend Day 1
Zealous X Interactive & Gaming
11:00 - 17:00
Intersections between art and technology, virtual reality, captivating new games: this time Zealous X showcases the creative world of tomorrow, where imagination and technology are blended together. Join us for an immersive two days, where you’ll be surrounded by innovation.
A science-fiction Virtual Reality game about dimensional time, a rescue mission gone awry and a troubling future.
QUBE 2 is the sequel to the award winning indie puzzle game Q.U.B.E.
Large suspended cube of layers of fabric, projections from either side.
An immersive coffin experience using VR and a real coffin.
Generative Scarves aims to empower people to generate their own pattern for a scarf. For this project a procedural algorithm commonly used to digitally generate patterns of the natural world was sampled in a bespoke application.
Veil is an art installation that uses virtual reality (VR) technologies to transport visitors into an alternate reality where they can experience art in new and extraordinary ways; in the process subverting the gallery experience.
XOXX Composer is a mechanical sequencer, using magnets to trigger sounds. It turns the inner functions of sampling, looping, and sequencing, into tangible, kinetic, sculptural form.
This is a very challenging arcade game about ambidexterity. The player controls two objects at the same time and can connect them to zap waves of beat-synced frenemies and score points.
Parliament collapses. The monarchy militarises. The UK is close to civil war. Plan intelligently and breach quickly to defend your despotic regime in this roguelike tactical FPS for the PC.
Mute is a mystery game about Love, Brotherhood and Tragedy, where you have to explore an open world wilderness in search of your missing brother.
A videogame where players adventure through the pages of a diary, move words to solve puzzles and piece together scraps of a story.
A one-dimensional custom hardware game with a custom wobble controller made out of a door-stopper spring and a five meter long LED strip display.
Pane In The Glass is a virtual reality game. Players must wash as many windows as possible in the time allowed, while avoiding knocking over any flower pots and avoiding dive-bombing seagulls.
Performance Day 2
Relationship
When you buy one ticket you get access to these 3 performances below
‘Y’ wanting to realise at last a long-held fantasy, posted an ad looking for a partner. ‘Y’ would make love, then be killed, cut in pieces, and eaten by his lover-reaching his idea of the ultimate sexual nirvana. ‘X’ most benevolently responded to the ad. This is their love story.
A show about friendship, being a woman and asking for help. Rhiannon Faith presents an interdisciplinary autobiographical piece exposing the impulsive, messed-up and fragile parts of the human condition. The result is dance theatre with a smutty mouth.
For thousands of years human beings have dreamt of perfect worlds. Worlds free of conflict, hunger and unhappiness. But can these worlds ever exist in reality? This dance piece follows the journey of a group of men who attempt to discover a perfect world beyond themselves. But the answers they find are not what they expect.
Music Day 1
Rock on
When you buy one ticket you get access to these 3 gigs below
Ned Dylan is a 14-year-old acoustic punk artist – with a debut single produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes), a track record of leaving lasting impressions at the UK’s biggest festivals with his memorable high-energy performances, Ned and his band are ready to rock 2016.
Little Brother Eli have a sound reminiscent of Jack White that combines the blues with hip hop rhythms to give you “the feeling that every single second has been filled with crafted perfectionism” (Right Chord Music), but even this kind of juxtapositional statement doesn’t quite cover it.
The Surrealists are a quartet whose musical style varies from post-hardcore and noise music without sacrificing their appreciation for hard rock riffs and pop melodies. Formed at university in Leicester, they’ve been screaming their heads off for unsuspecting bar goers ever since. Currently signed to Maina Records in London and have featured on countless radio stations including BBC Introducing.
