Night and Snow / Fragments: Contemporary Still Life
Gazelli Art House presents artist Derek Boshier for his second solo show with the gallery. The Night and Snow paintings are Boshier’s response to his interest in our sense of place. It is estimated that we are exposed to 5,000 images a day, and this work explores the aspects of duality and cultural imagery that we are confronted with on a daily basis.

NOW digital
Organised by artist duo Genetic Moo in collaboration with The Margate School, NOW digital champions the evolution in digital creativity and celebrates the creative use of computers. This 10-day arts festival includes film, music and visuals made by a growing local digital scene. Attendees will be given the opportunity to engage with interactive art and try their hand at creative coding.
Highlights include a 10m wide drawing robot, a digital animation coded and designed by all 220 Ramsgate Arts Primary School kids and a resident engineer building a digital Ukulele.
The festival is funded by The Arts Council England, The Margate Festival and Dreamland. Find out more about the series of special events taking place during the festival.

HIX Award 2019
The HIX Award was set up by the restaurateur and author Mark Hix. The current exhibition of shortlisted artists includes the likes of Melissa Hartley, whose work Reflection, manipulates shape, space, light and colour through its kaleidoscopic forms and Richard Baker, whose practice explores the hidden human histories behind seemingly insignificant objects.
HIX ART gallery is dedicated to presenting an innovative programme which runs cutting edge exhibitions; the most eagerly anticipated being the annual HIX Award exhibition.
The winner of the HIX award will be announced on 24th October at an awards ceremony at HIX gallery. The winner will be presented with a trophy designed by Damien Hirst!

Woolwich Print Fair
Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair is the only fair in London to deal solely in contemporary printmaking, and the largest of its kind in the UK. The fair hosts a vast range of prints for sale, interactive demonstrations, workshops, artist tours, collecting advice and more.
“With over 500 specialist artists and exhibitors, WCPF celebrates every aspect of printmaking – from etching and lithography, to woodblock and screen-printing, exciting emerging talent sits alongside established practitioners such as Grayson Perry, Tracey Emin and Norman Ackroyd RA.”
Demonstrations and consultations enable visitors to engage with contemporary printmaking, gaining a deeper understanding of the medium and its accessibility in establishing or enhancing personal art collections.

Off-Centre Photography Festival
The photography festival will showcase work by photographers across the east midlands, exhibited across the city of Nottingham alongside a range of workshops and talks.
Supported by the New Art Exchange, this project aims to promote creative photographic practice, celebrating diversity in the local photography community.
