The MOV files are a format, developed by Apple.

MOV files cannot be played directly within most browsers. This would mean requiring organisations and judges to install extensions or download the file (and QuickTime if you own a PC) before being able to play the video. This is why Zealous doesn’t currently accept this format.

Instead, we have chosen to accept files the MP4 format which is supported by nearly all major browsers across different platforms (particularly when encoded with the H.264 codec). MP4 is considered ideal for HTML5 video embedding due to its smaller file sizes and smooth streaming capabilities, guaranteeing a smooth experience for admins and judges.
