Why is my bank app authorisation showing £0?

When you are paying for a submission, you will most likely be asked to authorise the payment in your banking app. It’s possible you’re seeing an authorisation screen for £0, but the payment still goes through.

Stripe often separates the authorisation (holding funds) from the capture (actually transferring the funds). The £0 authorisation might be the initial hold, and the actual charge will come later when Stripe captures the funds.

If you see a £0 authorisation, we recommend that you please accept it to allow for the payment to go through. If for any reason the payment does not go through, please reach out to us via Intercom or emailing us at [email protected] .
