Taking payment for submissions

Although you can offer submissions for free, you are also able to charge for them. To do this you will first need to connect to Stripe, and then:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to your opportunity dashboard
3. Find ‘Submission Fees’ on the left hand menu
4. Make sure your fees step is enabled using the toggle at the top right
5. Fill out the various fields – status, name, submissions allowed, and fee (£)
6. Save by pressing ‘Add Fee’

The average income box at the end of the row tells you the average value of your fee after our costs and any payment gateway costs (Stripe). Zealous takes 2.2% and £0.20 on any paid submissions (capped at £5.00). This does not include the Stripe payment gateway costs which are based on how your candidates pay you.

There is a minimum submission fee you can charge, which is determined by Stripe. You can view this here.

You can track the payments on your payment dashboard. Zealous doesn’t hold any money; we don’t take the payments on your behalf, instead the money goes straight from the candidates to you via your Stripe account. Stripe will show you the total collected and then you can either set up manual Stripe payouts or schedule regular automated Stripe payouts as desired. Payouts are typically scheduled for the 1st of the month.
